Martin Bower is the talented Model Builder of Alien, Star Trek, War of the Worlds, and 20, 000 leagues under the sea. I think I much prefer the look of models over CG. It really looks life like. Animation often looks better in 3d but everything else in CG tends to look plastic. CG artists could learn alot by trying to mimic the style of this great master. Look at how well these are lit.

French Architecture
There is nothing more beautiful to me than the Château de Versailles. These buildings have more presence than a face, a voice, a touch. They capture my senses and roll me around in them. I might faint if I saw these in person. Dear God!

Prince of Persia Speed Painting
Final Fantasy Type-O: Official Trailer
The design in this dame looks unreal.
Mike Nash
Mike Nash is a great finisher. It's all perfectly lit. I tend to like to make things look a bit more unfinished but I need to know how to do everything as a concept artist so I'm checking out his tutorials.

Ilya V Painting
Awesome upcoming junior artist to become an instant star animator. His name is Ilya V Something. I used to work with him, sort of. Check out his stuff, and hire him up right away. His use of color is unique and draws the eye so well.
Thinking about Design with Feng Zhu

I'm about 3/4 of the way through his tutorials and I feel like a whole new artist. I have a better grasp and understanding of design, my tools, and lots of excitement and confidence towards all my projects. Thankyou Feng! Amazing man.

Art Spotlight - Ian Mcque
Very detailed borderline wacky but nothing less than perfect are the Skyscapes by Ian Mcque. If you check out his blog, he even shows his process through sketching on his new ipad computer. Holy Smokes. Check out this post. He's pretty talented.

Steampunk & James NG Airship
I have a love for chinese culture, especialle when combined with steam punk elements. Check this guy out. His name is James NG. He designs his artwork like a blueprint. I wonder if this baby could really fly. :)

Justin Sweet
I've been looking over the portfolio of Justin Sweet. He is a master of setting a strong mood to his paintings. Please visit his website at www.justinsweet.com.
I will be studying all his art closely to see just how he does it. But honestly, I wish I could find a tutorial or behind the scenes where he can share his gold with the arts community. He's a genious and I would be honored to meet him someday.

Justin Holt - Texture Painter
Showreel 2011 from Justin Holt on Vimeo.
Just checking out some texture examples from 3d artwork. These are a couple samples from Justin Holt's Portfolio. These days it looks crisper than real life. Insane. Better pay attention to 3d these days even for something more 2 dimensional like concept art.
This media was found here on CGSociety. You can also view his personal portfolio here.
20000 Leagues under the Sea (1916)
Amazing story adaptation of the novel 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea written by Jules Verne cought my eye today after taking a close look at recent science fiction art. This version has more charm than the popularized remake done by Walt Disney years later. I think science fiction and the 20's go together nicely. Don't you?

Akihiko Yoshida
Akihiko Yoshida for Final Fantasy 12. I like the detailing. I wonder if he does pen and paper or in photoshop. This is the last game I like of the series for concept art. Final Fantasy has its faults but some of the individual work done are masterpeices. This artist in particular seems to always deliver a rich lifelike character design. I rarely see this in game concept art anymore.
